About the Book

Judika Illes gathers ghost stories, weird tales and occult fiction by writers such as Dion Fortune, Edgar Allan Poe, Oscar Wilde, H. P. Lovecraft, Bram Stoker, Marie Corelli, Lord Dunsany and M. R. James, many of them long out of print. These are the stories that shaped the uncanny fiction that came after them. A good one to read by candlelight this time of year.
